I'm not such a crazy fan of Green Day. If I was, I wouldn't be so satisfied with the lame seats only on the 2nd level. Actually before buying the tickets, I was hesitated a little bit. Because their only album Ive ever listened to is "American Idiot", and I haven't yet gone through their new record "21st Century Breakdown" when I clicked the purchase button. The only reason for my decision to go is because of the memorable song "Boulevard of Broken Dreams", which brings me back to the day in my sophomore year when I was lost and bewildered by the unpredictable and unforeseeable future. I can still remember walking alone without company along the track on the sportsground at night while looking into the sky trying to find comfort. Just as what is described in the lyrics, my shadow in the moonlight is the only thing that walks beside me and my shallow heart beats for no one besides myself. Looking back at those days without support and fighting on my own, pain and tears shape me and make me stronger to become who now I am. To me, Green Day is not just a world-known punk band, but a friend sharing company when I was physically and mentally lonely. I want to tell all those who suffer while chasing their American dreams that, walking along this track means there is a lot needs to be given up, but you have to swallow the pain and don't surrender even if you are frustrated and find that you are the only one on the boulevard of "broken dreams".
